How to patch for zero day updates Windows.I believe the fact it was pushed by GPO is why it cannot simply upgrade the version? So, the dilema i have is that i need to be able to install the updated Adobe Reader, upgrading the current version on machines which was pushed by GPO. The issue being that i cannot do that to remote machines. I tried to manually install the latest package and get an error about another version already being installed and to remove that version before continuing. I have tried manually pushing the installer package using languard and, although Languard pushes the package ok, it errors. We usually run the installer at machine startup. I am working on getting our Cisco VPN to run scripts at login currently and this may be key to getting this working, however this would still have the hurdle of running the installer as a non admin user, which may be hard to overcome. I am therefore working on ways to roll out this and other non MS patches, updates and general new software to staff working in remote locations, which is not something we have done before. We usually roll out newer versions of Adobe Reader via GPO without an issue, however with most staff working and likely to continue working from home for the forseeable\permement future, this is only going to work for staff in the office.
